Summer...Finally

It has been amazing weather all week. It finally is starting to feel like summer! About time right? We got out the pool for Payton again and thought I would post the pictures we took. I also took a video. It was in the high 80's low 90's. Nice weather! We are crossing our fingers that we get more days like this!!! She had more fun this time and stayed in it longer. It was freezing cold so we had to put hot tub water in to it. It made it a little more bareable! She loves water!

Mike and I

Since I am so post happy tonight I might as well go all out and put an updated picture of Mike and I on here. We can not take a serious picture worth crap......we were having fun with it.

Random

I was feeling picture happy today and EVERYTIME I get out the camera Payton will not just look at it and smile. She goes nuts and runs around everywhere. These are the pictures I got of her today. Enjoy!

Hello?

I was getting her ready to go on a walk with my mom and so I was doing her hair...it is getting so long and I couldn't help but take a picture! It is so darn cute!

Bye Bye Jetta

Since I don't drive my car a whole lot anymore, we thought in order to save money and to pay off more of our debt it would be a good idea to try selling my car. I love my car and I didn't really want to sell it, but I guess it is what it is......

It was a coincidence that the person I sold it to, I actually watched his 2 kids when Payton was just born. I never really talked to him but maybe 3 times because their mom was always the person who picked them up or dropped them off. I didn't know it was him until he showed up! Kinda weird! He made us an offer right there which was nice. He then came the next morning with the money and it was a done deal!
I will miss that car!!

Diapers

While I am working and Payton needs to be changed I usually ask her to go upstairs to get a diaper. It usually only takes her 2 minutes to get the diaper and wipes and come down. Well this time she was taking a VERY long time. I walked upstairs and found her on the bed trying to put on the diaper. It was probably the funniest thing ever. I tried getting as many pictures as possible. But of course she knew I was there and gets camera shy.

Potty Training

I have a dilema and need some help. I got Payton to go potty on the potty chair when she was about 14 months old. She was doing so good and I thought to myself "this is cake". I would ask her if she had to go potty or poop and she would say yes and run to the bathroom and sit down and actually go. She did this for about 1 month straight, and ever since I can not get her to go on it to save my life. She gets all freaked out and runs out screaming and saying "no no no". I do not know what changed this for her! We even got her an Elmo potty video that she loves to watch, and likes to watch other people go, but just won't do it herself. PLEASE help if you have any ideas! We would appreciate it so much!!

Father's Day

I haven't posted for a few days so I thought it is better late than never. We had a good father's day! Mike is such a great father and husband. He has taught me a lot and he is a great blessing in my life. Payton adores him and loves climbing all over him and tickleing him and cuddeling in bed with him in the middle of the night. She is definately a daddy's girl, and has him wrapped around her finger. I had bought Mike some Oakley Sunglasses and a gift card to get more clothes for our trip to Hawaii in August. We also had a Jason and Audrey and all the girls over for a BBQ. We had hamburgers and hotdogs. I think Mike and Jason enjoyed it. My dad was in New Mexico working so he was unable to be with us, but we did send him homemade cookies and cards. It was a fun day!

I asked Mike to give me a good smile and this is what he gives me! Happy Fathers Day :)!

This is the most recent pic of Payton and Mike that I have! They are both sick in the picture so they don't look all that normal!

Payton loves to read, this was her on Father's Day reading everyone a book.

Sick

For the past 2 days Payton has woken up and puked all over the place. She has never done this before so it is kind of freaking her out. She starts shaking and then kind of a whiney cry. It's so sad because I can't do anything to make it stop. I called the Dr. today and he told me just to make sure she doesn't get dehydrated, but that there was nothing that they can do for her. She just isn't herself. I am starting to not feel so well either today so hopefully I'm not catching it. I am thinking Payton got sick from Nursery. I swear parents take their children their no matter if they are coughing, have pink eye....you get the point. It's rediculous. Anyways, thats just my update for you on our happenings this week. Oh and on top of it all today is the nicest it has been in like WEEKS. It is a little depressing that Payton needs to stay inside and rest. I'm sure we will have more times to play though.

Baby Sisco

As some of you may know Audrey (my sister in law) was pregnant with her 4th child. She was due on Sunday and we were all anxious for her to have the baby because none of us knew what she was having. Well today I got an email from my mom while she was at work telling us not to make plans. Audrey has home births and her mom is the mid-wife and so I thought well let me know when Charlene (her mom) gets there because then we are talking business. It came around 6:30pm and my mom called us at the house asking us to come and get the girls and take them home. Audrey has a pool that she has the baby in. It is quite interesting, but I don't think I could ever be that strong. So Alyssa and I ran over and got the girls, they were just filling up the pool with water and getting blankets and everything out. Definately didn't feel normal to me because I have never seen such a thing before.

So I round up the girls to leave as I think they were more excited to maybe have a sleepover than anything. We first went over to their Grandma Jenkins house to get the Wii to keep them entertained, and I stopped at McDonalds and got them each a cheeseburger. We got to the house and we play Mario Kart and some princess one. I called my mom's cell phone around 8:28pm to just check the progression and see if I was going to have a long night as well. My mom didn't answer her cell phone. So I figured something was up. The phone then rang about 10 minutes later and it was Jason (my brother) and wanted me to put the phone on speaker so that he could talk to the girls. He then proceeded to tell them that the baby was just born and wanted them to guess what it was. They all yelled "A BOY", and he said "Try again", there mouths dropped wide open. He told us we could then start heading over in an hour. When I hung up the phone the girls were all whiney and saying "Man another girl, they are annoying and this just isn't going to work". It was mostly Samantha their 8year old whining. We then got ready and headed over. They have not yet named the baby because they had all thought it was a boy and they were going to name him Spencer. Since that wasn't the case the baby is nameless. The girls came up with a ton of names. Kaitlyn had suggested Zoe, Samantha suggested Stephanie and Lauren said Sarah. We will see if they pick any of those.

Baby Sisco is a WHOPPING 11 lbs 11 oz. CRAZY! She has a full head of black hair. She is a chubby little thing that is very precious. Enjoy the pictures.

Utah Wedding

Last weekend Mike got to go to Salt Lake for his best friend Garrett's wedding. Mike and him have been best friends for years and havent seen each other for at least 4-5 years. He was really excited to see him and his family. He had a great time even though he was only there for about 2 days. This was the first time Mike had been away before and Payton really missed him. Mike was the best man and Garrett and Kylie got married in the Bountiful Temple.

Here are a few pictures from the wedding and reception.

He did a little site seeing with them on his last day there as well. They went and saw The Joseph Smith movie and walked through Temple Square for awhile.

I was super bored today while Payton was taking a nap. I'm sure I could have been doing something more productive but oh well.

New Car, Dog Sitting and BBQ's

On Friday morning we purchased a new car and traded in Mike's. We got a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee. We love it. I took some pictures. Although they aren't the best because it was about 9:30 pm when I took them and it was starting to get dark.

Friday night we watched my brother and his fiance' Cydney's dog's while they went out of town. I thought it would be relaxing and we could just enjoy it but it ended up being a ton of work and we are all worn out. We only had to do it for two nights but it was definately not a quiet weekend. They have two dogs. One is a Chihuhua name Mojito and the other is an Enlish Bulldog and her name is Twinkie. Since we had to get rid of Scooter (our chihuhua) a while back I forgot everything that had to be done, let alone the dog hair that is all over EVERYTHING and the smell of them and Twinkie's slobbering mouth that makes you all sticky and wet. They have been remodeling their house and so with Payton there and making sure she doesn't get hurt falling off the steep stairs or touching stuff was just way too much. They didn't have a baby proof house all that well. Payton did enjoy playing with the dog's. Twinkie loves Payton and licks her all over her face and can take the rough grabs, slaps and beatings that Payton puts on her. Mojito on the other was scared to death of her and didn't know too much about getting all that close. Here are a few pictures. I took a lot this weekend.

This is the view from the house. It looks out in the Puget Sound and downtown Everett is on the right hand side with the Navy Base. Mt. Baker is the mountain. So pretty. Whidbey Island is on the left.

MOJITO

TWINKIE (kinda blurry) she kept moving her head.

Playing on the stairs. There are no railings and she loves stairs. It wasn't a very good combo.

On the ground playing with Twinkie.

Here is a shot of all of us. This pictures explains why there aren't many of me!!

We were getting ready after our shower and Payton was dancing for herself in the mirror. It was so cute!!

We were getting ready to go to Costco and she was prancing around like she was all that with her sunglasses and new outfit.

Sunday Night we went to a BBQ at Jason and Audrey's house. We had steak, potatos, asparagus, brocolli salad, and brownies for dessert. It was yummy. I love going over there because Payton stays entertained by the girls the entire time except for when they pick her up. She doesn't like being picked up by kids.

They dragged her all over the yard in this thing for a long time. It did tip over a few times and she was done after that. They just love her.

So that was our funfilled weekend. We don't really know what we are doing for Memorial Day tomorrow but if it is nice I suggested we go to the beach. Mike wants to go see Indiana Jones. We will see. Maybe we will do both! Hope everyone has a good day!!!

Surgery and Nice Weather

I had my nasal and ear surgery last week. I can finally hear again. I lost my hearing when I first got pregnant with Payton and it has never really ever come back. It's amazing what all I can hear, we will just see how long I can keep it that way.

So my recovering days were quite miserable. It was gorgeous outside, I was stuck inside with an 18 month old monster, drugged, with absolutely NO help. My mother had gone out of town the day before my surgery, my sister who had promised would be around made plans to go and hang out with friends, and Mike was working outrageous hours. So I guess you could say I was pretty depressed. So these past few days have been a little rough for me. But with all the chaos that was going on I managed to go outside and sit there while Payton ran around screaming and chasing butterflies, singing "I'm bringing home a baby bumble bee" and playing with all of grandma's plants.

This pretty much wore her out with the heat, that she was whining at the door to go back in. So I was a happy camper as that meant nap time for both of us. She slept for about 3 hours, and I couldn't have been happier.

On Sunday Mike had the day off, so he stayed home from church with me so he could help me if I needed anything. It was pretty hot again and so we decided that we would let Payton enjoy it again. Mike filled up the pool on the deck and he poured water from the hot tub to make it a little more of a reasonable temperature and had Payton play in it. She loved it and I was so greatful for him being home so that I could rest. We lathered her up with sunscreen but she must of thought it was whipped cream or something because she decided to eat it. Pretty gross, but it didn't phase her at all.

I will never get a her a bathing suite like this again. The straps are constantly falling off. She has narrow little shoulders.

My little sunbathing babe!

Woodland Park Zoo

It was such a nice day today and since Mike didn't have to work we decided we would go to the zoo. Payton didn't really know what to think, but she did kind of get scared a little bit with some of the animals. It was a fun day and we all had a good time.Mike was trying to show Payton a monkey that was in the trees. It was so cute! She was actually interested and was looking for the little guy and got excited when she actually was able to see him.

These guys were huge and fun to watch. All of a sudden they got up really quick and walked out of the little den area they were in. I thought it was a good picture.

So Payton is obsessed with this doll. So the baby had to come with us too. A few times a gave some people a little scare. She had dropped it and here I am rolling it over with the stroller and people around are getting freaked out saying "YOUR BABY"...as if it were real! It gave us a few laughs!

So cute isn't it? Payton was trying to sprint and almost biffed it a few times. She just started this hand holding business. I think it is adorable.

Rascal Flatts and Taylor Swift

So Mike and I finally got to go out for a few hours and have fun. On April 5th we went to the Rascal Flatts and Taylor Swift Concert in Tacoma. We had a blast. We went to Red Lobster before because Mike had never eaten there. He got steak and lobster tail which was yummy. We got to the concert and I really have never seen so many guys at this kind of concert before. We went last year and Mike loved it as he was surrounded by woman :). But this year was different I'm not sure if it was because Taylor Swift was opening or what but I was shocked. These guys are amazing and Taylor was a lot of fun to watch. She is a country girl that likes to rock. If you aren't a fan go to one of their concerts and I can almost guarantee you will leave a happy camper.

Bath Time

Payton loves her baths. The other day Mike gave her a bath and was in there for a good 45 minutes. Usually when she starts getting cranky and won't lay down for a nap right away, I will give her a bath and take my laptop and sit there with her. It is kind of a nice thing for me to relax and get some work done without her running around everywhere getting into trouble.

Something New

So I have never really "blogged" before, but I figured that it would be kind of a fun way to keep people in the loop on our EXCITING lives. Here is a summary of all that is happening these days. I will post some pictures soon and get more on here. Enjoy!!

Mike - He is still working at Boeing and is working 10 hour days along with weekends. He is a machanic on the 777 doing wing structures. He has finished 3 classes through the University of Pheonix, to obtain a degree in IT, but has always had his heart set on being an Athletic Trainer and so he is looking into taking some classes through the Distant Learning Program that BYU offers. He has been suffering from major pain in his foot ever since we have lived here. He has been to the Dr. and they advised that due to being flat footed this has occured. In order to fix the problem they will have to perform a major surgery to fuse bones together and make it comfortable to walk again. We don't know exactly when this will happen but hopefully within the next year.

Payton - She is now 18 months old and is growing up so fast. She has a pretty big temper when she doesn't get her way. But is now realizing that timeout is not a fun place to be. She loves dogs and babies. She has made a few boys at church a little angry because she thinks all kids are babies. So she will point and say "baby" and usually it is only to boys around the age of 4ish. They then turn to their parents and almost start crying. I think it is pretty funny but the parents probably wish I were dead. Payton says a lot of words these days such as bye bye, mommy, papa, doggy, happy, hi, and yes. She knows a lot of sign language too like please, thank-you, milk, and finished. She loves to watch TV and her favorite things to watch are Elmo and a show called The Backyardigans. She likes going for walks and going to the park so hopefully this summer will be nice.

Me - I am now working at home doing loan processing. My friend from Austin, TX owns the business and so I process the loans with her. I love it and wish I had started with her a long time ago. I am also doing a certificate program for Medical Claims and Billing. I just to have to do my final and I will be finished. So I'm really excited as it gives me income when the Real Estate Market is down. I also get to stay home with Payton and I get to see Mike a whole lot more. Ever since I got pregnant with Payton I have had a lot of ear problems. I finally went back to the specialists this week and found out that I have to have surgery to correct it. They will be putting tubes in my ears for the 4th time and doing a biospy on a growth that they have found. They will also be correcting my deviated septum. I am having it all done on May 14th. I'm excited to hear again but nervous for the surgery itself.
